Looking good man. I'm away from the majority of my settlers playing friends so this wonderful game of yours is invaluable in getting my settlers fix :) Thanks again, Later.
At the moment it only has standard and seafarers, but as of this very moment, Jason's coding Cities & Knights into it. So expect Cities3D 0.8 with the first Cities & Knights rules implemented somewhere in September? :)
I should have 0.7.1 out this week, which includes all of the rules related to knights. Then I go on holiday for 2 weeks. Then I'll come back and start work on the rest of the things required for 0.8
Holiday?? That's ridiculous! Completely unheard of. I protest! Nah, just kidding ;). You deserve it :P. Where are you going on holiday to? :)
There seem to be fairly concrete plans on what will be worked on for future versions of this software. When do you plan on adding the "game finding" feature?
I just wanted to say, keep up the good work. If I had any applicable skills I'd try to help.
Cheers, Mr. X
Here is the roadmap for Cities3D and Cities Online development:
http://mirror1.cvsdude.com/trac/saladyears/Cities3D/roadmap You can see that game finding kicks in around version 1.0.3.
I loved Sea3d on my Windows comp... Now that I've got a Mac, I'm eagerly awaiting the full release of Cities3d. Thanks for all your work!
Is it going to be able to play this version with the ladder system or is this just an stand alone version? Svenne
Cities3D will get a completely new ladder system once we're past v1.1. At the moment we're still at 0.7.3, so there's still quite some work left before the ladder will be implemented.
But don't worry... it'll come ;).
I'm considering hacking in game finding into 0.8 so that Cities3D uses the s3dconnector site to make it easier for people to find games and play test.
Stay tuned...
