Argh! Made a liar out of me :(
Too bad the site had to dwindle, it was one of the more brilliant game sites on the web when it came out. Thanks for all the fun Jason - all the best in the future, etc.
Do you have some plans for the Cities Project? Areougoing to finish the development of Cities or does this message also mean the end for that project?
I have to thank you too, for the fun that I had on this site!
Man this is really sad! I loved this game and made some really cool friends too! Hats off to you for making such a nice online game! Instead of killing it, why not give it over to someone like zynga.com who have many online games, some of which are really popular. A fanbase on facebook might actually bring this game back to its glory. Irrespective, thanks for all the good times!!!
Jason,
Thanks for all that you have done with on the site. I donated $10.00, which is waay too little, but all I can afford, being one of the many out of work now. Have you not had any offers to buy the site? I would think it would be a money maker for someone so inclined. Anyway, Best to you. Jim Morrison AKA Grizzly_Dad
Ah well... all good things have to come to an end at some point :). I've had a couple great years on S3D back in the days and got some long time friends out of it as well. I'll be forever grateful for that, Jason. I'd say more than 7 years of operation is something to be proud of for a gaming site like this.
I'm sad to see the ending of such a great site, but I'm comforted by the great memories I have of my time here :). All the best, Jason! Regards, Tijl aka Quicky :)
I have send an email to Jason to possibly take over. I am willing to maintain this website, and continue it further. I might even squash some of the bugs I have found over the years. It's up to Jason and Ryan now: we have to agree on certain things.
As a free rider on this site, I want to thank and apologize to Jason and the staffs involved here. When I firstly saw this article, I thought "Finally the doom day has come." I knew that I was taking huge advantages and had a lot of fun by playing on this site, I neglected the donation part and the powerhouse supporting this site, either intentionally or unintentionally. I just used it, like using the Google or Yahoo or other free sites. I am sincerely grateful to Jason's extensive efforts to build and maintain this site, plus his spending his own money for this site rather than getting compensations from it!
As a non-donator, I hesitated leaving some comments considering my own qualification. But I guess there are people like me on this site that didn't realize the importance of donation, as far as you can use it without problems... Though it's late I will try to help this site like the ones already have done, not just relying on the staff's favor. Thanks again.
You an click on the donation link on the left side of the page below your buddy list to see all the information on donations and costs.
